| Once your young one starts making there way around on the floor highly consider child proofing your home or at least the areas where your child spends time. The major areas of concern in a home are: • Stairs • Electrical outlets • Electrical wiring • Areas where cleaning solutions or poisons are stored • Windows that open and are accessible to your child • Pools or open bodies of water
Highly consider installing gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, cover electrical outlets with safety covers, cover surge protectors and electrical wires inputted in to electrical sockets, install cabinet locks on areas housing cleaning products and known poisonous materials or move them to a secure location out of the reach of your child, install a window gate on windows that open and are accessible to your child and provide safety gates and/or fencing around pools and/or access locations to open bodies of water.
